Leading Lines
A leading line directs the eye. It is the most fundamental act of composition — the decision of where a viewer looks, and in what order. Collection 001 is a study of that force, made wearable.
Every composition has a line you follow first. Usually you never notice it.
The Idea Behind 001
Collection 001 is a study of leading lines — the lines in any photograph or space that quietly tell your eye where to look first. Five forces sit behind the collection. The pieces translate that language into graphics you wear; the theory stays here, in the idea.
A leading line is the path your eye takes before you decide to look. Long before you read a photograph or a room as content, you have already been moved through it — pulled from edge to subject along lines you never consciously saw. A road, a corridor, a shaft of light, the meeting of a wall and a floor: each is an instruction. Composition is the art of placing those instructions on purpose.
Cinema, architecture, and photography are built on this single mechanism. The director who frames a hallway, the architect who aligns a colonnade, the photographer who waits for the horizon to fall in the lower third are doing the same thing. They are deciding where you look, in what order, and how it feels to arrive.
Collection 001 isolates five of these lines — horizontal, vertical, diagonal, curved, and converging — and studies each as a force in its own right: stability, ascent, motion, tension, depth. Each garment takes one line and applies it directly to the body, so that the wearer becomes a small study in directional force. Fashion is the medium. Composition is the subject.
